TOUR ITINERARY
Day 1 – ARRIVE IN KENYA
Welcome to Nairobi! It’s often used as a jumping-off point for safari trips. On arrival into Nairobi, you will be transferred to Aberdares – The Ark. Set in the heart of the Aberdare National Park, iconic and yes, quirky. The Ark overlooks a floodlit waterhole and salt lick, which attracts a host of awesome wildlife. Modelled after Noah’s Ark, The Ark has four viewing decks with balconies and lounges to provide superb game viewing from the comfort of the lodge. The animals come to you!
Enjoy lunch at Aberdare Country Club.
Day 2 – ABERDARES
Post breakfast proceed for the Safari. It might be small in size but Kenya’s Aberdare National Park provides a vastly different experience to the country’s more famous savannah reserves.Created to protect the Aberdare Mountains of the Central Highlands, it comprises two ecosystems unusual to Kenya: a moorland plateau and a swathe of dense rainforest. The result is that visitors on an Aberdare safari can expect not only unique and spectacular landscapes but will also enjoy good game viewing, particularly in the Salient, the eastern forested section.
Day 3 – ABERDARES-LAKE NAIVASHA-LAKE ELEMENTAITA
After breakfast, proceed to Lake Naivasha/Lake Elementaita and arrive in time for lunch. Spend the evening at leisure.
Our Recommendation
Lake Naivasha, Boat Safari: It’s a peep into God’s colourful creations and how they co-exist. The place is a bird photographer’s delight. How close can you get to the birdie without scaring it?
Day 4 – LAKE NAIVASHA-LAKE ELEMENTAITA-MASAI MARA
Post breakfast, proceed to Masai Mara for check in. You will drive to the world-famous Masai Mara Game Reserve via the Great Rift Valley. En-route enjoy the beautiful scenery. Arrive in time for lunch and check in at the lodge. In the afternoon, enjoy an enthralling game-viewing drive. Spotting lions, cheetahs and other spectacular predators is the highlight of your day (if luck is on your side). This evening, enjoy a sumptuous dinner at your lodge.
Day 5 – MASAI MARA
After breakfast, proceed on a full-day game-viewing drive to search for the myriad species of game that make this reserve their home. If you are lucky, you can witness the kill in action, moment by moment, right in front of your unbelieving eyes! After a sumptuous lunch at your lodge, proceed for another exciting game drive, where you can expect to see the famous ‘Big 5’. In the evening, enjoy a delicious dinner at your lodge. The experience of having meals, cooked and served in the Kenya´s wilderness is exciting, memorable, and totally unique.
Day 6 – MASAI MARA-NAIROBI
Today post breakfast, check out from your hotel and you will be transferred to Nairobi. Spend the evening at leisure, and explore the city on your own.
At Carnivore, enjoy the most famous nyama choma (barbecued meat) in Kenya. At the entrance is a huge barbecue pit laden with real swords of beef, pork, lamb, chicken and farmed game meats. Due to strict new laws zebra, hartebeest, kudu and the like are now off the menu, and you have to be content with camel, ostrich and crocodile, in addition to more standard offerings. You also get soup, salads and sauces to go with the meats.
